Event Details
Part of the Lawyers in Libraries statewide event, this presentation will explain what happens to a person’s estate if he or she passes away without a Last Will & Testament. Participants will learn the order in which heirs inherit a person’s estate, including what portions each heir is entitled. In addition, participants will gain valuable knowledge on the difference between community and separate property and how that difference affects an inheritance. Most importantly, participants will better understand the importance of having a Last Will & Testament.
