Our guest speaker is Dr. Cheryl Taylor, SUBR Graduate Nursing Program Chair person and a Proctor Katrina commissioner will speak on the topic: "And We are Still Standing" as we focus on the survival and journey to recovery of all Katrina Survivors.

Be on hand for the unveiling of our Katrina community no-sew quilting project. See the faces of survivors, storm ridden homes, and quilt pieces that make you think, New Orleans. Don't forget to leave your tweets and quotes on our memory boards. Visit exhibits of the eight Louisiana parishes heavily ravished by the winds and waters of Katrina but are "still standing" today. Journal on our wall of memories and share a story or two in the "Big Book of Katrina Stories". A reception and music will follow.
