In celebration of the 10 Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina survivors and to commemorate the lives lost during this tragedy, join us at the Greenwell Springs Road Regional Branch Library for three consecutive Sundays of adult Katrina full- length, double-feature movies, popcorn and a drink. The movies will focus on various topics; everyday heroes and medical and military heroes who risked their lives to rescue countless trapped and stranded survivors; physical, social, and government issues; the babies born during Katrina, and the recovery of the sunken city of New Orleans and countless others.

1st feature: The Sunken City: Rebuilding Post-Katrina New Orleans (90 Minutes); NR When Hurricane Katrina devastated and nearly destroyed New Orleans, it was only through the efforts of millions of volunteers that life found a way to carry on. Celebrate the achievements of the people who rebuilt this shattered city , and explore the government structure whose haphazard response may have threatened the lives, and livelihood of many uprooted people into working together to rebuild their lives.

2nd feature: If God is willing and da creek don't rise (67 minutes) NR; Pickin' up da pieces by Spike Lee. When the levees broke: a requiem in four acts, focuses on the rebuilding efforts of New Orleans five years after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.
