Art is creative. Art is fun. Art is for everyone......And so is STEM. Wednesday, June 28th, continues our art series exploring great art from around the world. This time with a scientific twist. Our artist of choice is Filippo Brunelleschi, a Renaissance goldsmith, clockmaker, sculptor, inventor, and architect. In Pippo the Fool by Tracey E. Fern, we’ll follow his journey as he designs and builds the spectacular dome of Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence, Italy. Then we’ll build our own dome and test how strong the design can be. As an added bonus, there will be a 3-D printer demonstration to show its application in art and science. It’s time to play and create! Registration is required and limited to 8 children. Sorry, no groups. Ages 8 to 11.
