Event Details

Master Gardener Joyce Ryder will tell you all about “Succulents.” Joyce is a native of Baton Rouge and has spent almost her whole life here. She has enjoyed creating garden spaces including raised beds, French courtyards, rose gardens and has even had to share her back yard with deer. But now she has found a much easier way to love plants. Succulents are probably one of the most popular group of plants today, because they are so easy to care for, don’t take up much room and are simple to propagate. Come and join us if you are one of those who is eager to learn more about these marvelous and diversified plants.

Do you think you have a black thumb because all your house plants die? Master Gardener Angie Wall will be here to help you. Angie’s interest in gardening began in her childhood under the careful nurturing of her maternal grandmother and later was inspired by her mother’s love of flowers. It has been shown that having plants in your surroundings makes for a much healthier environment. Well, Angie is going to inspire you to fill your home with “Incredible House Plants That Anyone Can Grow.”
