Come to the Carver Library on Thursday, February 8th, at 5:00 p.m. to see the first installment of our Black History Month film series.  Denzel Washington won an Oscar for his depiction of Private Trip, who escaped slavery and served in the 54th Regiment Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, one of the first all-black infantries in the Union Army.
