Event Details

Join us at the Baker Library as we screen the Oscar-nominated documentary ‘13th’. With the help of an array of activists, politicians, historians, and formerly incarcerated women and men, Ava Duvernay shows how the 13th Amendment never truly abolished slavery. Instead, it ensured targeted laws were passed, and the burden of slave labor now fell to criminals instead.
