Event Details

Join us in making Kokedama, a Japanese hanging container garden.  Kokedama originated in 17th century Japan.  It simply means “koke” (moss) and “dama” (ball) in Japanese.  This practice which involves wrapping the roots of a plant in mud and burlap and suspending it by a string is derived from the ancient art of bonsai.  We will be using succulents for our Kokedama.  They are cared for by misting water on them about once a week.  They make for a great indoor garden and double as an art piece!
