10th Annual Community History Festival @ Pride-Chaneyville Branch Library: All Aboard The Country Express!

Come out and join Pride-Chaneyville Branch Library in celebrating their 10th Annual Community History Festival—All Aboard the Country Express, to be held on Saturday, October 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Pride-Chaneyville Branch Library.  The whole family will enjoy a day of fun, food, games, crafts, and entertainment. 

 Activities will include a horse shoeing demonstration, pie judging contest, the Greater Baton Rouge Model Railroaders are bringing their N-Scale train, Jump Start Read will be handing out thirty children’s books accompanied by two story times, a raffle for an American Doll and her custom wardrobe by the Red Stick Smocking Guild, face painting, pumpkin painting, sack races, and much more.  We will have various local artists and craftsmen participating and selling their wares.  The Louisiana Lagniappe Dulcimers will provide music for the event.  The ever-popular, old-fashioned Cake Walk will be held every hour.  Come take a step back in time when railroads changed the American, local, and world landscape, settling the West, and paving the way for our modern era.  The Pride-Chaneyville Branch Library is located at 13600 Pride-Port Hudson Road, in Pride, LA.  For more information about this event, call (225) 658-1550.
