Large meeting room

Event Details

Since 2016, researchers from LSU have conducted a resilience and recovery study to determine how the Great Flood of 2016 has impacted the greater Baton Rouge community. The information gleaned from this comprehensive study will not only help those of us in hurricane-prone areas, but citizens throughout the United States who are coping with disasters of any type.

Adults can join Dr. Katie Cherry, Director of Research and Community Outreach, LSU Life Course and Aging Center and Dr. Traci Birch with LSU Coastal Sustainability Study (CSS) at the Main Library at Goodwood for a summary of the results and findings from this ongoing, multi-year Community Well-Being and Flood Recovery Survey. Anyone interested in adding their own input to the study will have an opportunity to do so, too-come as early as 2 pm!
