For our sensory sensitive child patrons, we are offering a special time at the Main Library on the first Friday of the month. Children are invited to come to the library without fear of sensory overload. The flashing overhead and side lights will not be turned on until 11:30 AM. Patrons can leave a library card at the Children’s Desk to use headphones to block noise, sunglasses to block light, and various fidget items to hold while here. There are lots of books and movies to check out! We also offer a story session for sensory sensitive patrons at 9:30 AM. Please call to register in advance for storytime. Sorry, no groups. All children must be accompanied by a caregiver. Please join us!
