Event Details

The Baton Rouge Botanic Garden Foundation will host a FREE Garden Discoveries series event for families at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the Main Library at Goodwood led by Kitty Bull, an Advanced Master Gardener and Herb Society member. Attendees can register for limited in-person seating or attend virtually on Facebook Live!

Kitty will briefly tell the history of Valentine's Day, garden gnomes, & fairies. She will then show children and their parents how to put together their own fairy garden. Each in-person attendee will be given a male & female gnome fairy, a mushroom & lady bug and other small critters (surprises). Each will decorate their own container filled with soil and a small rosemary herb plant and learn how to take care of their new garden.
