Genealogy: Maps and Land Records IN PERSON

6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Main Library
Technology Lab

Event Details

Description: Land records are some of the most important documents available in genealogy research. Available farmland encouraged westward migration, rewarded military service, fulfilled requirements for voting or holding public office, or simply helped support the family. Using maps and land records together will help you learn not only when and where your ancestors lived, but why they lived there and how they got there. In this class, we'll look at some of the ways your ancestors ended up where they did, and what you can do with this knowledge.

Information: Registration is required. Seating is extremely limited. This class will be offered both in person and online. This link is for in-person attendees only.

Class will be held in the on the second floor of the Main Library on Goodwood Blvd.
