Writer and architectural historian Dale A.
Carlson has written a book about Corrado Parducci, an Italian-American architectural
sculptor based in Detroit, Michigan. Parducci’s connection to Louisiana is that
he created sculptures for several buildings here in our state, including much
of the ornamental sculptural trim on the New State Capitol. Mr. Carlson will talk about Parducci’s life
and his work on these Louisiana buildings. He will give this virtual
presentation from Michigan while we watch live from the Main Library.
