Let’s play the mountain dulcimer. Beginning lessons to learn to play this simple fretted musical instrument are planned on Thursdays, February 8, 15, 22 and 29 at the Fairwood Regional Library. Time is 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm. No musical background or training is necessary, we teach the basics of how to hold, strum and play a variety of songs. Since the classes are progressive, attendance at all four classes is encouraged. Loaner dulcimers for the four weeks are available with advanced registration. All handouts are provided; bring a 3-ring binder and a music stand (optional).
